Hi,
Sorry to answer so late, but I've really an enormous activity and some mails are forgotten sometimes. Really sorry.
Only to say that if it is necessary, traduc.org organization can also help the project. Coordinating the translations is exactly our purpose. We can become a regular coordinator, thanks our infrastructure, but also via a single person. As we're not very much people, we don't have the capability to be very active, but if we work together with framalang and we only have to coordinate and help a little, we can bring something. Our main activity focuses on translation free software and free software docs into French. (cf. manpages or Perkamon, and a lot of other projects).
So don't hesitate to explain the exact needs, the task of regular coordinator, and I think we will be able to help, at least from English to French, at especially in coordinating. We would be pleased to help. Of course, we cannot do that alone, but if there's frama's support, it's a good point of starting.
Sincerely,
Jean-Philippe MENGUAL

Hello,
In the past month, following the freeing of the french GNU translation coordination position, it have been suggested that Framasoft could handle the translations, but we failed to find a coordinator for this work.
Framalang, which is a translation team of the Framasoft french association, gathering 70 benevolent translators (with 10 constantly active people). This team is handling the translations of Framablog.org, which represents 80% of the content of this blog.
As we expressed to Frédéric Couchet whom suggested us to handle it, we would be very pleased to receive texts to translate from english to french and work them out as we do for our blog-translations (with the full process of translation, review and proof-reading), and then to send it back to a coordinator, whom would deal with the SVN and approval parts.
But currently, no one in our mailling-lists has accepted to handle this coordination stuff so far, and that's why we're stuck on this matter on our side.
As I could have read from the mails that have been transmitted to me by an « April » member, it seems that M. Hicham is already used to handle what is missing for us, and gives new hopes. Framasoft would be very pleased to collaborate with him in way I previously described, and our help may be interesting for him.
In the hope to quickly find a solution and start working on this, with regards,
