bonjour, comment traduiriez-vous output , avec comme contexte , output of ps c'est-à dire l-affichage du résultat de la commande ps ? et dans ce cas : If you see output, si vous avez un résultat d'affichage ? une sortie (terme vague?) cela me semble lourd voila les phrases complètes : f you see errors, then you might have to go through the above installation instructions, checking that everything has been followed correctly. If you see output, then this is even better, since it means your programs are working (one hopes) as expected. We should see the following output (for tinydns): merci

Bonjour à tous, J'ai deux problèmes à vous soumettre, rencontrés dans la traduction de EVMS (Enterprise Volume Management System) User Guide 1er problème : Comment traduire "drive link"? "lien de disque"?? Contexte : ********************************************************************** This chapter discusses the EVMS DRIVE LINKING feature, which is implemented by the DRIVE LINK plug−in, and tells how to create, expand, shrink, and delete a DRIVE LINK. DRIVE LINKING linearly concatenates objects, allowing you to create larger storage objects and volumes from smaller individual pieces. For example, say you need a 1 GB volume but do not have contiguous space available of that length. DRIVE LINKING lets you link two or more objects together to form the 1 GB volume. ********************************************************************** 2ème problème Est-ce que cela a un sens de traduire "slices" par "tranches" ici? Et comment traduire "slice table" et "disk slice"? Contexte : ********************************************************************** BSD segment manager BSD refers to the Berkeley Software Distribution UNIX® operating system. The EVMS BSD segment manager is responsible for recognizing and producing EVMS segment storage objects that map BSD partitions. A BSD disk may have a SLICE table in the very first sector on the disk for compatibility purposes with other operating systems. For example, a DOS slice table might be found in the usual MBR sector. The BSD disk would then be found within a disk SLICE that is located using the compatibility SLICE table. However, BSD has no need for the SLICE table and can fully dedicate the disk to itself by placing the disk label in the very first sector. This is called a "fully dedicated disk" because BSD uses the entire disk and does not provide a compatibility SLICE table. The BSD segment manager recognizes such "fully dedicated disks" and provides mappings for the BSD partitions. DOS Segment Manager The most commonly used segment manager is the DOS Segment Manager. This plug-in provides support for traditional DOS disk partitioning. The DOS Segment Manager also recognizes and supports the following variations of the DOS partitioning scheme: OS/2: an OS/2 disk has additional metadata sectors that contain information needed to reconstruct disk segments. Embedded partitions: support for BSD, SolarisX86, and UnixWare is sometimes found embedded in primary DOS partitions. Bonjour, D'abord une bonne nouvelle : la page http://www.traduc.org/docs/HOWTO/lecture/Debian-and-Windows-Shared-Printing… était le troisième résultat Google pour "smb cups printing howto" (après deux pages de la doc Gentoo). Je me suis rendu compte en contactant l'auteur original du document (ayant relevé une erreur) que la version proposée date de 2003. Etant donné que cette page a été d'un grand secour, je serais près à faire la mise à jour de la traduction. Comment cela est-il possible ? Ci-dessou le message de l'auteur. Merci pour votre travail.
