Oh, Laurent stopped translating Texinfo looong ago.

Subject: [bug #33041] French translation: typo fixes Yes, I'd suggest to write to traduc@traduc.org, with a Cc to the last translator. The po file says that although the official translator is Laurent Bourbeau bourbeau@progiciels-bpi.ca, the person who actually works on the translation is Michel Robitaille robitail@iro.umontreal.ca.
If I remember well, Michel took Texinfo translation over from Laurent. But this is also away in the past, as Michel later completely stopped translating, many years ago (Michel was taking care of quite a number of packages at the time).

Maybe just write coordinator@translationproject.org? Just thought you might know the best way to go ...
Oh, things might have changed quite a lot since I was coordinating the Translation Project, and I did not try to follow all that happen. Let me Cc: all people listed in the letter you sent me, hoping that you will all manage together.

Which I'm not doing right now. Hopefully, the issue will be sorted "off-line" first.

Hi, i'm the FR coordinator of TP. Why would'nt you take in charge the translation of this "texinfo" domain?
You could apply yourself the modification otherwise i'm afraid your work would be lost.

I'm sorry! I'm strongly involved in the Debian project and I don't have really time to do upstreams work. Normally we just forward upstream bugs to there and hope they get fixed.
Secondly I don't speak a single word French hence I can't support the French po file of texinfo.
Hilmar

That's a very good reason ^^
I'd be happy to take over this translation if it still is available.
Best Regards.
it is (available). Quite a relief, Jean-philippe.
Coordinator, please proceed with the change of assigment. Thank you. _______________________________________

Bonjour Everybody,
Bravo Jean-Philippe pour la relève et la prise en charge de la traduction FR du logiciel "texinfo".
En passant... my best regards to Karl Berry and François Pinard.
