Why would'nt you take in charge the translation of this "texinfo" domain? You could apply yourself the modification otherwise i'm afraid your work would be lost.

I'm sorry! I'm strongly involved in the Debian project and I don't have really time to do upstreams work. Normally we just forward upstream bugs to there and hope they get fixed.

Secondly I don't speak a single word French hence I can't support the French po file of texinfo.

That's a very good reason ^^

I'd be happy to take over this translation if it still is available.
