Dear Yan Kerb,
I am contacting you because I have found your name and e-mail address
on the Translators list page (on Sourceforge.net). I am about
to release a review website about camera lenses (mostly for digital
cameras), and I am planning to provide that site on several languages.
One of them is French. I am looking for a qualified translator to
translate the strings that are needed to localize the general user
interface of the website (lens database, menus, messages, etc). The
reason I am contacting individuals instead of hiring a translation
agency is that I didn't find any, that had experience with gettext.
The English version now contains ~1200 words (about 7000 characters) to
translate, but since the site is still under development, I expect this
to raise slightly. I could provide the po file, and I will need the po
and the mo files back (these are generated if you use poedit). Some
photographic experience is needed, but the text is not complicated.
Naturally will pay for this service, my budget is $100 for each
language.
Please let me know if you can take this job, or if you know anyone who
could help me with this project. I am planning to launch the site by
the end of the month, so I will need to act quickly.
I am looking forward to hearing from you
Sincerely,
Tibor Antalczy
