I've had a look at the work of Bernard Schweitzer, which was a real improvement to the existing French PO file.
I've been in touch with him. He would be very interested in taking over the maintenance of the Lynx French PO file, and has already kept working on it.
I will coordinate with the translation project to see how he can become part of the team.
